The Story of the Clock

On a fine day, the second hand was working as dutifully as it could in the clock. Suddenly, the number nine said to the second hand, "The second hand, look at the hand hand, you turn around before it moves one space. What are you doing so fast?" The second hand thought the number nine was right, so the second hand went to talk to the hour and minute hands.

The second hand came to the minute hand and the hour hand and said seriously, "Let's talk! I don't think it's reasonable to divide the work like this. I run so fast every day while you walk slowly behind, but people only look at the time of you two. Is my hard work not in vain? So I propose that we redistribute the work." Hour hand and minute hand also feel this is unfair to second hand, so also agreed to new division of labor.

By drawing lots, the second hand takes over the work of the hour hand, the hour hand takes over the work of the minute hand, and the minute hand takes over the work of the second hand.

The next day, they work in their new positions. The second hand can be happy, it can not run in front, can walk slowly behind. The hour hand's new position is fine, but the minute hand is worn out and it collapsed after an hour of running. It was a bad day for people. They couldn't tell the time and their lives were in chaos.

The second hand understood that they have their own good at the post, should not do not suit their own things. Then the second hand, the minute hand, and the hour hand returned to their old positions, time was understood, and life went on as before.
